Terms of use

These terms apply when you use the ZiA app to buy and use vouchers. By creating an account you agree to them. Questions go to hello@ziaexperiences.co.tz.

1. What ZiA is

ZiA is a marketplace. Venues — restaurants, spas, hotels, tour operators and others — offer experiences, and ZiA sells vouchers for them. The venue provides the experience; ZiA is not the venue.

2. Your account

You must be 18 or older. Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and use your account only for yourself. We may suspend an account that is used for fraud or to abuse venues, customers or staff.

3. Buying a voucher

Prices are in Tanzanian shillings. You pay by mobile money through Snippe, our licensed payment provider. A voucher exists only once the payment is confirmed; until then, nothing has been bought.

4. Using a voucher

• A voucher is used in person, at the venue. The venue scans its QR code.
• Each voucher can be used once.
• It is valid until the date shown on it, and cannot be used after that date.
• The day you say you plan to visit helps the venue prepare. It is not a reservation and does not hold a place for you — contact the venue if you need one.
• Keep your QR code private. Anyone holding it can use the voucher.

5. Refunds

If a venue cancels, or cannot provide what your voucher is for, we refund you in full.

For any other reason, there is no automatic refund. Tell us what happened at hello@ziaexperiences.co.tz and we will decide each case fairly.

6. Reviews

You can review a deal after you have used a voucher for it. Reviews must be honest and about your own visit. We may hide a review that is abusive, unlawful or not about the experience.

7. Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time, as described in our privacy policy. While you still hold vouchers you can use, or a payment you started in the last 24 hours has not finished, the app will ask you to finish with those first.

8. Responsibility

Venues are responsible for the experiences they provide. To the extent the law allows, ZiA is not responsible for a venue’s acts or omissions, but we will always help you resolve a problem with a voucher you bought through us.

9. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.

10. Changes

If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page, and tell you in the app when a change affects you.
